Key Benefits of Bringing your Carer to The Nanny Company
Financial Resources
If you already have someone you know and trust caring for your children, why not receive the financial rewards of joining our service. You can access non income tested funding through our service, along with ECE hours for 3 & 4 year olds and Work and Income NZ Subsidies.
Programme Manager Support
A Programme Manager will visit your carer and children once a month. Programme Managers support your carer, offer guidance in relation to your children to help them build a strong relationship, plus they are there to ensure the education and development of each individual child is being catered for.
All our programme managers have children of their own and have worked in early childhood for a number of years. They all hold a Diploma of Early Childhood Education or higher qualifications.
Professional Development for carers
All carers undertake first aid training at our expense (we ask they give their time freely to attend the training). Each year we give our carer's a generous professional development budget and access to workshops of interest.
Workshops for families
The Nanny Company holds workshops around areas of interest for both carers and families. These workshops are offered in the evening, free of charge and are always child focused. We welcome parents/family members to take part in these; they are advertised in the bi-monthly newsletter.
Playgroups
We offer free playgroups at places of interest to young children. We pay all admission fees. Playgroups are a great chance to meet other families and for the children to socialise with others. Parents are welcome to attend these outings, so if a playgroup is on, which is not your carers work day, please feel free to join us.
Newsletters
Our bi-monthly newsletter is sent to you directly as well as a copy to your carer. The newsletter keeps you up-to-date with the happenings at The Nanny Company. Our playgroups for the next two months are published, as is information on workshops and news of interest to people with young children.
Policy reviews
As part of our ongoing commitment to quality education and care, we are constantly reviewing and up dating the policies and procedures which govern our service. If you are interested in receiving a list of policies, which will be reviewed this year (and consequently being consulted on any of these policies), please contact us and we will send a copy to you, then seek your feedback as part of our consultation and review process.
The Nanny Company Advisory Committee
We have an established an Advisory Committee made up of parents, nannies/carers and management which provide a formal opportunity for The Nanny Company to liaise with key stakeholders who advise us on a range of matters of direct relevance to the services offered. Let us know if you would like to be part of this group.
