Key Benefits of Having a Nanny

Educational

Once you have selected a nanny we offer ongoing support for families and nannies. Each family is introduced to an Early Childhood Trained Programme Manager who visits the children and nanny in the home setting each month. The ongoing relationships are nurtured and the children’s learning and development is recorded in a Learning Journal. We offer free playgroups with access to places of educational value along with ongoing professional development for the nanny.

Resources

Employing a nanny couldn’t be easier. The Nanny Company provides a superior recruitment service, excellent employment documentation and payroll service all free of charge. Our company motto is ‘the personal touch’, and we aim to achieve that feeling for every family who use our service.  We offer many resources to aid families and nannies in their employment relationship.  Most families use our Daily Diary (which nannies can record the daily happenings for the children, such as sleep times, food consumption, nappy changing, and home management information).

Financial

The Nanny Company make childcare in your own home affordable.

We contribute towards your nannies wages, all families are eligible (no matter what you earn)!  We also offer 20 ECE hours and WINZ subsidies (Work & Income NZ).  Our team know the ‘rules’, ‘rates’ and ‘entitlements’ of government subsidies really well – let us tell you what you’re entitled to!

The average cost of a nanny is $15 - $17 per hour, however, we contribute some non incomes tested funding towards the nannies wages, which reduces the hourly rate considerably.

When you contact us, we can work out exactly what your family is entitled to.  We then produce a costings letter detailing how much you would need to pay each week (less our subsidies and other payments you are eligible for).

An example:
