THE MANAGEMENT TEAM
SHELLEY BTchLn (ECE)
Shelley is responsible for the day to day operations of the company. She supports all staff in their roles and works closely with the management team. Along with her vast amount of company knowledge and management skills, Shelley is also a qualified and registered Early Childhood Teacher. She believes strongly in finding the perfect nanny for the right family and is passionate about ensuring our company delivers a quality service at all times. Shelley has two children and when not working is busy with all their sporting endeavours.
CIO / FINANCIAL CONTROLLER
Matt manages the financial strategic planning for the company and develops the internal database. He is responsible for all the company's information technology. As an owner of the company Matt is involved in the strategic planning and future directions of the company. Matt has a Post Graduate Diploma & Bachelor of Resource Studies, and has over 20 years experience in IT. He is an active father to three children and also involved in the Air Cadets.
As an owner of the company Jan works closely with the management team and is involved in the strategic planning and future directions of the company. She sits on numerous advisory groups within the early childhood sector and is an executive board member of The New Zealand Homebase Childcare Association. Jan has a Bachelor of Education and a Diploma of Teaching Early Childhood Education. She is a fully registered teacher with twenty years experience in the early childhood field. She has three children and volunteers numerous hours to the various organisations they are involved in. She is passionate about young children being educated in their own homes.
THE OFFICE TEAM
CUSTOMER CARE RECRUITMENT CONSULTANT
Jane is the friendly voice clients first hear when calling our service. She is responsible for listening to families and helping identify what qualities their perfect nanny will need. She comes from a long career in banking and has overseas experience working as a nanny. She has three lovely girls, and is involved with the school PTA and sports team management.
Kerry works in payroll & ensures that the fortnightly wages are processed with ease. Kerry has a good eye for detail and fantastic 'people skills'. She has a background in retail and sports administration and years of management experience. When she is not working she is generally found watching her three children play sport.
Mel is part of the payroll team in our Christchurch Office, helping out with the day to day running of the payroll on a part time basis. Mel is returning to the workforce after having time off with her young son, so she understands the demands of a busy working parent. Mel has had a long and successful career in the Airforce, learning many skills and attributes, with a good attention to detail.
Vanessa has a background in both recruitment and office administration. Having three young children of her own, she knows what skills it takes to run a busy household. Vanessa brings those skills together with her recruitment experience to this role . Outside of work she is actively involved in her children's after school activities and weekend sport.
VISITING TEACHER TEAM
Our team of visiting teachers supporting nannies to carry out our in home education programme. They visit the nanny and children in-home monthly building a strong working relationship with nannies, children and families. Visiting teachers key tasks include; induction, professional goal setting each year and professional development. They also run playgroups and support nannies to write great learning stories.
SUZY DipTchLn (ECE)
VISITING TEACHER - CHRISTCHURCH
Suzy is a qualified, registered Early Childhood Teacher. She has worked in early childhood for almost 20 years and has a wealth of experience in many areas. Suzy is a mother to three lovely children who are involved in a range of sporting activities. Suzy values and believes in children’s well-being, sense of belonging and nurturing their interests, knowledge and ideas, forming an environment where children grow from their experiences; this is reflected strongly in how Suzy works to support the nannies, families and children in her network.
FLEUR BTchLn (ECE)
VISITING TEACHER - CHRISTCHURCH
Fleur is a qualified and registered Early Childhood Teacher who has worked within the industry for a very long time in many different settings, including holding a Nanny qualification. This wide range of experience stands her in good stead for sharing the knowledge that she has gained through working alongside professional teachers, children and many different families. Fleur believes in high quality care and education for preschool children and the importance of supporting families with young children. She believes there are huge benefits of high quality home base care and believes the home is a great place to grow and learn. Fleur is a busy working mother with four beautiful children, so she relates to finding the right fit for each individual family.
JULIE BTchLn (ECE)
VISITING TEACHER - Christchurch
Julie is a visiting teacher in the Christchurch region, she holds a Bachelor of Teaching and Learning (ECE) and is a fully registered teacher. Julie has worked in the early childhood sector for over 14 years and values children being respected as individuals, with potential that needs to be nurtured and responded to in positive ways. Julie has a passion for the outdoor environment and enjoys gardening in her spare time, and tramping the fabulous walks we have here in NZ.
VISITING TEACHER - WELLINGTON
Nicole is a fully qualified and registered early childhood teacher. Nicole has worked in the early childhood sector for 10 years and has attended a variety of courses to support her teaching work during that time. Nicole enjoys sharing her knowledge with nannies and families working in the best interest of children to achieve optimal learning outcomes for each individual child. She has three young children and is very involved in their activities. Nicole also helps with the nanny selection process in the Wellington region.
SLOANY BA (Ed), GradDipTchg (ECE)
VISITING TEACHER - WELLINGTON
Sloany is a visiting teacher in the Wellington region; she holds a Education Degree and a Graduate Diploma in Teaching (Early Childhood) and is a fully registered teacher. Sloany is married and a mother to 3 gorgeous children. Sloany believes the pathway to accessing opportunities in life is education and the experience children have in Early Childhood have a profound influence on their ongoing view of learning, therefore their experiences must be positive.
