Excellent Communication & Support

We listen to the type of position you are wanting and telephone you about potential positions, to see if you are interested. We only put forward the ‘most suited’ candidates as we know your time is valuable. In return we appreciate you keeping us informed about the positions you are put forward for. We like to know if you really want a position, or if you have decided that the position is not for you.

The office/administration team all work full time and are accessible between 8.30am and 5pm Monday to Friday. Support is only a phone call away.See our contact information for more details.

Excellent Employment Resources

We encourage families to utilise our free payroll service; hence ensuring nannies are paid correctly for public holidays, annual leave, sick leave etc. We keep families up-to-date with new initiatives such as Kiwi Saver.

We offer the best contribution rates to families, which is used towards nannies hourly rate of pay. Our sample contracts (which most families use) are written to protect both families and nannies.

Programme Manager Support

Once you secure a position with a family a Programme Manager visits you and the children once a month. Programme Managers support you, offer guidance with the children and build a strong relationship with you. All our programme managers have children of their own and have worked in early childhood for a number of years.

They all hold a Diploma of Early Childhood Education or higher qualification.

Professional Development

Once you are working, you will be required to undertake first aid training at our expense (within two months of securing a position). In addition each year we give nannies access to a generous professional development budget. We regularly send out course information to all our nannies and offer regular child focused workshops held in the evenings.

Playgroups

We offer free playgroups at places of interest to young children. We pay all admission fees. Playgroups are a great chance to meet other nannies and for the children to socialize with others. Some examples of playgroups are; pony riding, miniature train rides, coffee mornings etc.

Newsletters

Our bi-monthly newsletter is sent to you directly and families. The newsletter keeps you up-to-date with the happenings at The Nanny Company. Our playgroups for the next two months are published, as is information on workshops and news of interest to people working with young children.

Social Events

We run social events paid for by the company, on a regular basis. These events are always fun, and a great chance to meet the team on an informal basis.

Celebrating our team!

We value our team and acknowledge the fantastic work nannies do. We acknowledge your birthday with flowers, and always buy each nanny a Christmas present. We care about the people and believe if we nurture you, you in turn will nurture the children.
